In accordance with Regional Law n. 22 dated 28 September 2006 “The labour market in Lombardy”, the new Regional Agency for Education, Training and Employment (ARIFL) was set up as a technical component of the regional system for implementing integrated policies relating to Education, Training and Employment. The objective of the Agency is to support the development of a quality education and training system throughout the learning cycle, from services relating to rights-duties in the area of education to the promotion of lifelong learning. The activities and initiatives carried out by the Agency in the period 2007-2009 focus on the following intervention areas: accompanying the creation of the new education system relating to education and vocational training; promotion and development of the labour market; promotion of the system of policy integration.
