CEFASS

is a non-profit foundation with a public mission and strong bonds to the institutional governance of the Lombardy Region.
It was created in 2002 in order to complement the services provided by its founders, the Regional Institute for Research (IRER), the Regional Institute for Education and Training of Public Administration (IREF) and the Regional Agency for Education, Training and Employment (ARIFL).

LOMBARDY

With a population of 9,5 million citizens, a GDP per capita of 29.000 €, dynamic industrial districts with approx. 750.000 enterprises, twelve universities and some 500 technology transfer and research institutes, the Lombardy Region ranks among the most developed regions in Europe. Lombardy is one of the players of the “Four Motors Network” in Europe, together with Baden-Württemberg (DE), Catalunya (ES) and Rhône-Alpes (FR). Milan, Italy’s major economic and financial centre, has the privilege of hosting the EXPO 2015 (“Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life”).
